Bark in the Park

My bossman has had a Bark in the Park mini festival for the past… 5? 6? years in Corpus and just recently started in San Antonio. For the uninitiated, Bark in the Park is a ridiculous dog costume contest in a park downtown that benefits local animal shelters. You would not believe how many people show up with their festooned pooches or the elaborate costumes and props some make. I usually show up to help. (Ok so I’m really just there to pet dogs and eat pizza, sssh.)

Due to Covid, we can’t exactly have a thousand people at the park, so this year it’s going to be an online photo contest. What I want to know is, are there limits to what you can claim is your pet? Can I go fishing and put a hat on a shark and win?? I read the rules, ain’t no rule about no sharks.

$5 to enter, grand prize is $2500.

No one steal my shark idea.
